The Cornwall Family History Society The Society maintains a Research Library in Truro (Cornwall) for Society members and the general public. One of the main aims of the Society is encouraging research into Cornish family history. Another aim is the co-ordination, transcribing and indexing of original records by volunteer members. The Society was formed in 1976 and now has a great many active members.

Cornish Association of New South Wales Established in 1974, the Cornish Association of New South Wales (CANSW), formerly the Cornish Association of Sydney, is the equal second oldest Cornish Association in Australia, and the second largest. Membership by household is 172, covering over 300 people. There is plenty of room for growth as 2% (or over 100,000 people) in the State of NSW have Cornish ancestry!

The Cornish Association of Western Australia Inc. The Cornish Association of Western Australia Inc. was formed originally in 1974 but through a variety of reasons recessed in the eighties, with only a few remaining members still meeting on an infrequent basis. Since the first revival meeting in February 1991 we have come a long way and our membership has increased steadily.

This State has a lot of people with Cornish ancestry and a fine Cornish heritage in many forms.

Cornish Association of Victoria Inc The Association was formed in 1986. They promote and foster goodwill among Cornish people and people in Victoria and stimulate interest in the History, Family History, Antiquities, Traditions and Social Conditions of Cornwall.

Cornish Association of Bendigo The association was formed in September 1986 with Edward (Ted) Hocking taking on the role of President.
There is no doubt that Bendigo has the largest number of Cornish descendants of any locality in Australia and a desire by so many to discover their heritage has enabled the Association to survive well for over 23 years.
