South Crofty Tin Replica Seal of the 1305 Stannary Charter
The Stannary Charter of 1305 was granted by Edward I to the tinners of Cornwall. The Charter was probably the earliest comprehensive document granting rights and privileges to tinners.
The Seal has been cast from 100% Cornish tin, the last reserves extracted from the South Crofty mine prior to its closure in 1998 and stockpiled for our exclusive use.
Presented in a suedette pouch and issued with a certificate of authentication explaining the origin of the tin and the history behind the Seal.
The full set of coins and replica coins may be purchased as a set, presented in a gift box with full information regarding each coin.
